FLYING THROUGH GLASS<\/strong>
\nSunday afternoon & evening, 07.06.15.<\/em><\/p>\n

Remember to say
\nNamo Amida Butsu –
\nthe first and last word.<\/p>\n

As the sun goes down
\nthe veranda fills with light
\nand angels appear.<\/p>\n

I take three deep breaths
\nand open my heart chakra.
\nSpecific questions<\/p>\n

come into my mind.
\nAm I doing the right thing?
\nWill you stay with me?<\/p>\n

Being with angels
\nbanishes my loneliness
\nand fills me with peace.<\/p>\n

An aeroplane flies
\nthrough a message left in the sky
\nby an angel.<\/p>\n

I watch it vanish
\ninto the wisteria –
\n‘I was here for you.’<\/p>\n

There is no such thing
\nas ‘fear’ in the dictionary
\nof any angel –<\/p>\n

it’s replaced by ‘love’
\nfor that’s the only feeling
\nangels can express.<\/p>\n

Even a white moth
\nat dusk cannot fly through glass
\nthe way angels do.<\/p>\n

They are inside now.
\nI see them watching me write
\nwith helpful gestures.<\/p>\n

My attention’s drawn
\nto one of Rita’s orchids
\non the window-sill.<\/p>\n

Maria has the voice
\nof a human angel –
\n‘Do you want a biscuit?’<\/p>\n

‘Go to bed with me
\nand stay beside me all night.
\nBe there tomorrow<\/p>\n

when I come to life.
\nFill me with positive thoughts
\nfrom the very start.’<\/p>\n

Caiaphas, the white
\nrobed angel, stands in the door
\nstudying my soul.<\/p>\n

Empty-mindedness –
\nthe key that unlocks the gate
\nto truth and beauty.<\/p>\n

Pigeons and wild geese
\nrace across the cloudless sky,
\ninaudible specks.<\/p>\n

Meditation chair –
\nwatched through the window, angels
