HEAVENLY VISITOR<\/p>\n

Suddenly my Angel was there.
\nAnd even as I write this line
\nwith conscious artistry and care,
\nshe bends in front of me, divine.<\/p>\n

‘Ask me whatever comes to mind,’
\n<\/em>that winged and brooding vision said.
\n‘My Name!’ <\/em>for I am old and blind) –
\nthe query tumbled from my head.<\/p>\n

‘Namo Amida Butsu!’ <\/em>Lord
\nhave mercy on the human race.
\nI never heard a kinder word
\nor saw such comfort in a face.<\/p>\n
