Others listen.<\/p>\n<p>Rejoice in other people&#8217;s virtues<br \/>\nand partake of their happiness.<br \/>\n&#8211; Hua Yen principle.<\/p>\n<p>Bring the power down to your heart<br \/>\nand feel the nearness of Amida.<\/p>\n<p><em>Right View<\/em> is the first step<br \/>\non our path. I take it<br \/>\nto mean <em>Compassion<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Are we not all Buddhas at heart?<br \/>\nShould we not take ourselves seriously?<\/p>\n<p>Friendship with my own soul<br \/>\nand Inner Child<br \/>\nprecedes all outer contacts.<\/p>\n<p>Basic truth &#8211; we get out of life<br \/>\nmore or less what we put into it.<br \/>\nToo much is as dangerous as too little.<\/p>\n<p>Rely on your own judgment<br \/>\nbut be grateful<br \/>\nfor the help you receive.<\/p>\n<p>Uncertainty is a major bugaboo<br \/>\nonly nembutsu cures.<\/p>\n<p>The vast tree in the window<br \/>\nsays nothing<br \/>\nto unappreciative souls.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SELF EXAMINATION 17 for my Oxford friends of 58 Some poets struggle for words to describe their feelings.
