Oliver's memorial near his home in Tring, Buckinghamshire:
"Mary Wilkins...also of Bugler Oliver Wilkins, son of the above
killed in action in France, August 16th 1917, aged 20 years.
'He died for us' ".
(Oliver died, in fact, in Belgium, but this confusion was very common)
